Ahead of the season finale of Love Is Blind , FLARE spoke with Newbrough about what being on the show was really like and how it has changed his dating game—and we even got some advice from the guru himself. Newbrough says that while he was intrigued by the premise of the show, when casting agents approached him, he actually turned them down—twice.
But he eventually changed his mind, deciding to treat the show as an experiment.

Danny’s brother sets him up on a series of blind dates, but all of them go disastrously wrong. Just when Danny is about to give up, he meets Leeza, a nurse who works for Danny’s doctor. There is just one catch: Leeza, who is from India, is promised to another man. Mark J. Mullins Linden Snyder. Not terrible but the film is suffering a bit of a identity crisis, it’s like they had a script for a more emotional romance drama but were told to add some jokes into the mix by the studio last minute.
Either way doesn’t really work. This is a very unique and uncommon romcom movie. The whole concept of a Blindguy wanting to find love and it happens to be through a complicated relationship with a different culture. It’s a good romantic comedy. A little bit naive, a little bit stupid, but it looks pretty good. There are no stupid jokes, no vulgarities, or other abominations.
Just a romantic story mixed with funny comedy.
